

Biography of
Rev. Lois M. Wilkinson
Pastor, Bethel AME Church ~ Ardmore
Pastor Wilkinson is a native Philadelphian and a daughter of Hickman Temple AME Church. She is the daughter of the late Phillip and Lucille Davis. Her mother and father had 15 children (9 girls and 6 boys). She is the 13th child born to Phillip and Lucille.
Rev. Wilkinson obtained her primary and secondary education within the public schools of Philadelphia, Pa. In 1995 she graduated from Community College of Philadelphia with a degree in Applied Science. Rev. Wilkinson also graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelor of Art in 2001. She received the Master of Divinity Degree from Palmer Theological Seminary in May 2007.
Rev. Wilkinson is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. She also is in the Dean’s List Book (Who is Who). In September 2013, she was inducted into the National Association of Professional Women. On March 22, 2015, Rev. Wilkinson was awarded The Michelle Obama Award For Humanity by Haven –Peniel United Methodist Church.
After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the Ministry of Christianity in September 15, 2002 at Hickman Temple AME Church, Rev. Wilkinson was licensed by Presiding Elder Herman Rhodes.
Rev. Wilkinson loves people and loves to help people. She also believes if she can help someone along this Christian journey then her living would not be in vain.
On May 21, 2005, Rev. Wilkinson was ordained an Itinerant Deacon at the Philadelphia Annual Conference. Rev. Wilkinson received her last orders in the ministry at the Philadelphia Annual Conference on May 27, 2007, for orders as an Itinerant Elder by Bishop Richard Franklin Norris. After filling in for the coordinator for two years due to illness, on May 20, 2017, at the Philadelphia Conference Women In Ministry Annual Day Rev. Wilkinson was elected the Coordinator of the Women In Ministry of the Philadelphia Conference. On January 7,2024 Rev. Wilkinson was installed as the first female president for Methodist Minister’s Alliance.
On November 10,2007, Rev. Wilkinson was appointed to Bethel (West Chester) for her first charge. Her second charge was to Bethany (Philadelphia) on May 27, 2012. At Planning Meeting on June 17,2017, she was appointed to Shorter, Morton. On June 15, 2024, at Planning Meeting, Rev. Wilkinson was appointed to Bethel – Lansdowne. On Sunday June 8, 2025, at the Philadelphia Annual Conference, Rev. Lois Wilkinson was appointed the pastor of Bethel AME Church in Ardmore, Pa.
Rev. Wilkinson is married to the love of her life Michael Wilkinson and sharing in their joy is their only son Ryan.
